The oceanside community of Victoria, BC is the provincial capital of British Columbia,
Canada. Victoria is also referred to around the world as the Garden City. It is located on
the southern most tip of Vancouver Island, making it the southern most city in Canada.
Victoria is the Island's largest city with an estimated population of 360,000 people.
Victoria is the home of the provincial government. The dominating structures of
the carved stone Legislative Buildings front the inner harbour. Victoria's varied coastline
includes waterfront walkways, water taxi terminals, marinas, restaurants, shops, sandy pebbled
beaches with many nearby eclectic seaside communities and municipalities.
